Optimus D’Bandada – the São João of Music is back to the city centre with bands all over the place! Come to Porto on 15 September!

The 2nd edition of the Optimus D’ Bandada promises to bring thousands of people out on the streets, this time featuring more bands, more concerts and extended schedules. This year Optimus D’Bandada starts earlier, between 15:00 and 20:00. In the evening the bands will play from 21:30 to 02:00 and, from 02:00 to 05:00 it’s the closing party.
The spirit is the same and a large choice of concerts and performances will pop up in the most unexpected places such as some of the city’s most narrow streets, as well as the barbershop Veneza or the shop A Vida Portuguesa. Shows are free. Admission is by order of arrival up to the rooms’ capacity.

With: Miguel Araújo, Souls of Fire, ALTO!, Mr Miyagi, Tren Go! Soundsystem, Black Bombaim, Sensible Soccers, Memoria de Peixe, Octa Push, Peixe, Blac Koyote, The Astroboy, Stereoboy, Capicua, Chullage, Minta & The Brook Trout, Nice Weather For Ducks, We Trust, Balla, League, Os Pontos Negros, The Poppers, Samuel Úria, Nuno Prata, Mirror People DJ Set, Hello Atlantic, Pedro Cardoso, Filho da Mãe, Birds are Indie, DJ Ride Pixel Thrasher, Beatbombers, DJ Nery, with still some surprises to be expected.

The event will take place in several points in the Galeria de Paris-Clérigos area, with performances indoors (Plano B, Café au Lait, Casa do Livro, shop Vida Portuguesa, Misso Opo, among others) or outdoors ( “Divan”, Barbearia Veneza, Praça dos Leões, Clérigos Tower Balcony Clérigos, Coreto Jardim da Cordoaria, Studio Andrew Howard Balcony, among others).

Night life in Porto

If you are staying for a few days in Porto you certainly would like to meet this fantastic city at night. Is not  hard  find  coffee shops and pubs open during the night. After 10:00 p.m. the city earns a new life with the amount of people who goes out to have a beer and hangout with friends. It's easy find an open bar but we'll leave here the best areas that you should go if you're looking for some fun. The first one is Ribeira (near the river), there's lots of  pubs with a fantastic view, from there you can also see Gaia which is just across the river and there have pubs too. Other place is a large area near Clérigos Tower. This area is known as Galerias the Paris and Piolho, during the week the Piolho area have more people must of them students, on the weekends you should visit Galerias de Paris. See the map below.
