Tour for sunday afternoon.

Portuguese institute of photography

Sundays are great days to see the city, i just went for a litlle walk in the afternoon and i take some pictures for you.
My tour started in Campo Mártires da Pátria in front of our  Portuguese institute of photography near Clérigos Tower. The Institute it's open on Sundays and it's free entrance.

I went in the S Bento da Vitória Street and here you see the church but just the outside because it's closed on Sundays, but after the church you have a nice viewpoint to see the old part of town and same view above the Douro river.

I continue my tour and above the viewpoint i entered in Vitória stairs to the Belo Monte street. After that i turned right to the Comércio do Porto Street, here you can see the Exchange Palace and the oldest Ferreira Borges market transformed now in a concerts room, the new Hard Club. Follow the street in to the end and admire the spectacular S. Francisco  and S. Nicolau Churches.

In front of S. Francisco Church you can take the oldest tram in the direction of the tram museum, you can buy your ticket in to the tram.
I didn't take the Tram, i went in Beloura Street in front of S. Francisco Church to go near the Douro River to a streed Called Bacalhoeiros (Street of codfish) here i saw the same Extreme Sailing races, you can download some pictures from the race here.
